Why does Anorra come across as cross-eyed so often? Is it intentional, or just the way she ends up when the artist tries to capture a specific expression? I love the comic, I just find the cross-eyed look a little distracting.
Another example would be Empress Maria-Theresia of Austria. Among the territory controlled by her was Hungary, which didn´t accept a queen, making her the King of Hungary.
That’s because in some countries, like Poland, “król” (king) despite being usually considered as a masculine term, actually refers to “the person who rules a country”. Jadwiga were a king, until she married Lithuanian ruler (or whatever his title is called in English), Jagiełło. After that, he was the ruler of both countries, and Jadwiga became a queen.

Just when I try certain expressions. These last few she’s a bit on the crazy happy side so maybe a little cross eyed with joy.
Reminds me of King Jadwiga of Poland. However, the guy she married was called “king” too…
I have honestly never heard of King Jadwiga, but I’m glad there’s a real example similar to my fantasy one. Thank you for sharing!
